A-Level Success

A-Level (A2) Results

Congratulations to students in Year 13 who have achieved a very good set of exam results this year, making far stronger progress than in 2016. We are proud of the fact that we have remained an inclusive Sixth Form and that our students have secured such excellent destinations for the future.

  • 42% of grades at A-Level were A*/A/B
  • 68% of grades at A-Level were A* - C
  • Students on the BTEC courses also achieved very well with an average grade of Dist*-

 

Some notable achievements include:

Tom

Tom, who achieved 3 A* grades in Maths, Further Maths and Chemistry and an A in Physics, which means he has secured a place at Emmanuel College, Cambridge to study Natural Sciences.

 

Bethany

Bethany contended with serious medical issues but achieved 3 A grades in English Literature, Creative Writing and Government and Politics

 

Henry

Henry, who achieved an A* in Maths and A grades in Computing, Further Maths and Physics and is off to Manchester to study Astrophysics.

  Sadia

Sadia, a pupil in our Hearing Impaired Unit, who achieved a C in Creative Writing and 2 D grades in Politics and Psychology and is going to study Child Development at the University of East London.

AS Results

Students in Year 12 also performed very well, and made strong progress, despite all the new changes to A-Levels. Notable achievements include Robert who achieved 4 A grades (A* grades are not awarded at AS) in Chemistry, Maths, Physics and Sport Science, and Frankie who achieved A grades in Religious Studies and Government and Politics and a B in History.
