Goal KeeperPhysical Education offer at SPS

  • In key stage 3, all pupils have two hours of physical education per week
  • At key stage 4, all pupils have at least one hour of physical education as part of their weekly timetable
  • There is opportunity to study both dance and physical education at GCSE level, in an additional average of 2.5 hours of dedicated lesson time each week. Lessons are split between both the practical and theoretical components of the courses.
  • In the Sixth form, pupils are encouraged to further develop their sporting interests and healthy lifestyles.
  • In addition, we offer a comprehensive extra-curricular programme whereby pupils of all abilities are welcome to attend. Extra-curricular clubs run before and after school, and regular sporting fixtures take place at local, county and national level.

Throughout their time at Sweyne Park School pupils have the opportunity to participate and further develop their skill levels in a wide variety of activities as outlined below:
